CANES Community Care receives funding for Seniors Active Living Centre

Last month, the Honourable Dipika Damerla, Minister of Seniors Affairs, was in Brampton to announce the recipients of new Seniors Active Living Centre funding.

CANES Community Care received funding to offer new fitness, educational, and social programs for seniors twice a week at locations across the Brampton area including Villa Polonia, the Chris Gibson Recreation Centre, and the South Fletcher Sportplex.

"We are very pleased that the Ministry has recognized the need for a Seniors Centre in South-West Brampton," said Chirasthi Mendis, Board Chair, CANES Community Care. "This new Activity Centre will complement the other services and activities on site to enrich the lives of seniors in the community and help them retain their independence."
