Creating Transformation in Service Settings: Getting to the Roots of Tolerance

Last month, in partnership with the Ontario Indigenous Cultural Safety Program, the Central West LHIN hosted a workshop exploring the connection between attitudes and behaviours, and how they can play out in relationships with Indigenous patients and families. Titled Creating Transformation in Service Settings: Getting to the Roots of Tolerance, the workshop drew a full house of LHIN staff, representatives from our HSPs and SPOs, and members of our local Indigenous communities.

Through a mix of thought-provoking activities and exercises, the day-long learning session provided participants with a unique experience to step out of the everyday and look at the roots of the issues that impact their work, the efficacy of service provision, and their patients' quality of care.
