Service Description: Family-centred intervention to families of infants and young children with developmental risks

In-home or office visits provides (individual and group based):
  • consultation
  • assessment and screening
  • service coordination and intervention
  • counselling and community education
Resources available include: toy and equipment, library; book library.

Student placements are offered in specific instances
Participates in community planning and activities described in Making Services Work for People, and through Success By 6 Peel and the Best Start Network. ICDSP is active in the Special Needs Strategy - Integrated Rehab, and Service Coordination, as well as the early stages of the FASD strategy

Fees: None - Funded by Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) * Minimal charge for materials for some groups, can be waived

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Families with children with established or biological risks for developmental problems; children and families must be residents of Peel; children 6 years old and under
