Service Description:

ODSP offers:- financial assistance to helps eligible people eligible family with living expenses, including food and rent
- health benefits, including prescription drugs and vision
carehelp finding and keeping a job or career advancementODSP offers 2 types of support:
1. Income Support - Financial assistance provided each month to help with the costs of basic needs, like food, clothing and shelter. Income support also includes benefits, like drug coverage and vision care, for clients and their eligible family members
2. Employment supports - Services and supports to help clients with disabilities find and keep a job, and advance their careers. Also assist with supports to start up a business

There are two parts to the application process for income support
Part 1 -dealing with financial eligibility
Part 2. -determining if applicant meet the program's definition as a person with disability

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
•be at least 18 years old
•be an Ontario resident
•be in financial need and
•meet the program’s definition of a person with a disability, or be a member of a Prescribed Class
