Service Description:
|
Assessment of the hip and knee joints of patients with moderate to severe hip or knee osteoarthritis with an aim to reduce the wait time for surgical assessment, so patients receive treatment faster
Details about the Rapid Access Clinic (RAC):
- Appointment is booked within two business days of referral
- Patient is seen within two to four weeks
- The RAC will share assessment results with the primary care provider who referred the patient
- Appointments are 45 minutes long with arrival time 15 minutes before the appointment
- Wear shorts or loose-fitting pants, comfortable clothing and comfortable footwear
- Patient to bring a CD of most recent X-rays rays and a list of medications
