This 1-hour live session provides an overview of Ontario’s special education system and the key processes that support autistic students in school. You will learn about how schools support autistic students, the supports and options available, and how to work with the school team to help your child succeed.
In this session, you will learn about:
- How special education works in Ontario schools
- Important terms and processes (like IEP and IPRC)
- The roles of families, schools, and school boards
- Where to find helpful resources and support
This session is intended as an introduction to special education in Ontario for families, caregivers, and professionals supporting autistic children and youth. Participants will receive a resource package with useful links and information.
