Service Description: The Indigenous Resource Centre works within Student Success and Engagement and in partnership with regional Indigenous communities to ensure Indigenous students are supported and connected to their learning environment- academically, culturally and socially

Assist Indigenous students in making the transition and adjustment to the challenges of college life while creating an awareness and appreciation of Indigenous culture and history in the greater campus community

IEandE advances Indigenous education through two areas:

Indigenous Student Support Services: - supporting Indigenous learners as they pursue their academic, personal, and community goals through:

  • Indigenous student advising (admissions, transition, and academic support)
  • community socials, cultural events, and activities
  • skill-building workshops

Faculty and Staff Support Service - enhancing the capacity of faculty, staff, and administrators to engage with Indigenous Ways of Being, Knowing, Relating, and Doing (IWBKD) through:

  • professional learning and academic engagement
  • curriculum and teaching support
  • collaborative partnerships, projects and initiatives
