Service Description:
|
The Vulnerable Persons' Registry (VPR) helps police and the community locate missing people. The registry allows the caregivers and/or parents of vulnerable people to submit vital information that will be used by emergency services during a crisis situation (e.g. person is missing, hostile behavior, etc)
Those eligible to participate are people who because of a medical (e.g. Alzheimer's diseases, Autism Spectrum Disorder, brain injury, etc.), mental health or physical condition may pose a danger to themselves and/or others
To register online, you must provide the following for the person being registered:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Physical descriptors (e.g. scars, birthmarks etc.)
- Contact information.
- Special needs
- Methods of approach if found
- Objects of attraction that will aid in drawing the person in
- A photo of the person's face (JPEG format)
Information provided will only be used by police personnel for the purposes of this program
