Service Description:
|
Adult day program * social, recreational, and therapeutic activities for frail older adults, adults with disabilities, and adults with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia in a group setting for part of the day * helps to support family caregivers who provide day-to-day care
- semi secure area (not a locked unit)
- physiotherapy * restorative program
- podiatry 1 time per 6 weeks (fee for service)
- hair dresser service twice weekly (fee for service)
- nutritional counseling
- gardening
- reading and discussion groups
- crafts, woodworking, cooking and baking
- board games, cards games
- music
- spiritual care
- outings in a wheelchair-accessible bus
- special events such as birthday celebrations, picnics, cultural events
Additional:
- medication reminders and assisstance
- transfers with lifts(up to 2 person)
- toileting assistance
- bathing program
- Registered Nurse support
- transportation through TransHelp, Caledon Community Services, Red Cross
